What engine swaps are possible with a 1990 BMW 525i?

What engine swaps are possible with for a 1990 BMW 525i, where would you go and how much would one cost?What engine swaps are possible with a 1990 BMW 525i?For a 1990 e34 525i (assuming a m20 motor), you could swap in a later e34 m50 2.5L or a later m52 2.8L from a e39 528i. However, a better swap would be a m50 3.5L from a similar vintage e34 535i. Parts can be found easily at salvage yards. Cost for labor if not DIY would probably cost more than a 525i is worth and it would be better to sell and get a complete 535i already done.
