Are there any good books out there that give guidlines to transform regular recipes into Gluten free recipes?

For baking and cooking? I eat a mostly Mediterranean diet but I add flax seed to most things and have been experimenting with garabanzo bean flour and other things to make gluten free food but sometimes when I look at a recipe I just don't know what I need to replace certain items with. Is there a cook book out there that does this? Are there any good books out there that give guidlines to transform regular recipes into Gluten free recipes?
There are plenty of GF baking books on the market.. self education will do the rest.

There are page after page of GF cookbooks here.

Bette Hagman was know for her GF Baking %26amp; Desserts

"Creating Old Favorites with the new Flours"

I got 2 new GF books for Christmas, Shauna James Ahern of the Famous Gulten Free Girl Blog(not totally a cookbook, more of her journey to wellness)http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com/searc鈥?/a>

and The Gluten-Free Vegetarain Kitchen by Donna Klein

I hope this is of some help. Celiac Sprue Disease is a frustrating to deal with but at the same time anything that can be dealt with 100% by ones diet is "not too bad".

Slaint茅 (to your health)
yes there are books on this try the ceoliac(not to sure about the spelling of this spell check just gives silly alternatives) society as they deal with gluten intolerance all the time.

you could try rice flour and you are all ready using chick pea flour(garbanzo bean flour you can use lentils and other types of pulse that has been made into flourAre there any good books out there that give guidlines to transform regular recipes into Gluten free recipes?
I don't know of any books with specific gluten free conversions. However, there are several gluten free cook books and baking books out there. Hagman (I can't remember her first name) puts out some good ones. Celiac.com and ClanThompson.com are 2 websites that put out online newsletters that often have recipes and tips for gluten free cooking.
I haven't come across any books that provide the specific answer you are looking for --converting regular recipes into gluten-free.

However, you sound very adventurous in your eating and may like to try out this site with easy, wholesome, gluten-free recipes:
