Is it cheaper to buy a BMW in Germany and have it americanized if your in the military?

Im in the Military and wounder if I should ship my Infiniti J30 1995 over there, if I do I have to remove Tints and such and have all these inspections just because it is 15 years old. Or should I buy a bmw over in Germany since I will be stationed there for three years. And are they cheaper than in the US?Is it cheaper to buy a BMW in Germany and have it americanized if your in the military?Actually, it is far less expensive as there is a military discount for active duty members in theatre. Is it cheaper to buy a BMW in Germany and have it americanized if your in the military? If is far more expensive. The USA has some very strict laws regarding headlights, and taillights, and other safety related issues (besides the fact the engine has to pass emissions, and will be so detuned by the time it gets through customs, it will not drive like the same car. Save your money, if you want one, buy it in the US it will be far less of a major headach, there are grey market dealers someone payed a lot of money to to find a specific european car, and its still in customs, years later because it will not pass american car standards, even after extensive work.Is it cheaper to buy a BMW in Germany and have it americanized if your in the military? You should just buy a 2008-2010 BMW model in Germany as they are way cheaper and fully equipped....dont tier yourself with the infiniti ;)
