Is that the hexagon shape one next to (to the left of ) the power steering fluid reservoir? The cap is very tight - want to make sure that is the correct one before unscrewing it with a wrench.
Thanks.How to add engine oil for my '03 BMW 530i? Where is the cap for the engine oil reservoir?It's right on top of the engine, yours should be square shaped, not hexagon. I think it has a picture of an oil can on it or the word OIL. It's at the top, towards the front, on the valve cover, the big plastic looking thing covering your engine.
The nut you are talking about is the oil filter. Look further to the left, back about 6 inches, above the W of BMW, a little to the right of it actually.
