What do car do you think would win a 1/4 street race 1992 Bmw or 2000 Mustang?

I choose Bmw but what do you guys think



1992 325is Bmw is 2.5L, V6 motor, intake, performance module, 2dr coupe, performance tires, stainless steel exhaust transmission is automatic with 221hp



2000 Mustang is V8 stock with about 300hp, automatic transmission.

When the new-edge mustangs with IRS further improved the handling. Where a non-GT "new edge" may not be inspiring, it will out turn a 325, the GT/Cobra will inspire. Torque and power will make lunch meat out of the beamer.



This is further upheld by SCCA solo classes, the mustang is in a faster class than the 325. I race my thunder bird turbo coupe in the same class as the 325, and they are not competitive, the 325 needs to be bumped down to a H class.

The Mustang probably, then try turn a corner the mustang will go straight on and BMW will happily belt around :) I prefer Europeans because how often do you need top speed? Have a proper race where the talent of the driver is shown. You need a quick start, great handling into and out of corners, perfect breaking and clutch control. None of the foot down, point and go. and the mustang runs it in 14.10... thats actually a 99 mustang, i dont have the specs on a 2000 but they are the same.

In a 1/4 mile, I'd take the Mustang. Add a single turn, the BMW wins. Hands down.
