I have a BMW 316 but would like to put a rear spolier on the vehicle.
How easy is this to do? Do i need a garage? How much would this cost?
Thanks! How easy is it to fit a rear car spoiler to a 3 series 316 or 318 BMW ?It isn't that hard to do if you know what you are doing logically, but its best to let a good experienced trusted body shop to do it for you and if they are quick the labour shouldn't be more than around £50 plus VAT but get some quotes first.Depends on your area as Mechanics are expensive.
Ask around at the garages where you get petrol from and see if someone knows someone else with a BMW as fellow BMW drivers tend to feel they're part of a club and like to share knowledge.
Maybe they will know someone who will do it for a couple of drinks!
I had a rear spoiler on my car but it wasn't fitted properly and was too low to the ground and often clipped the kerbs when reversing (yes,I know you think it's the way I drive,LOL).Took it off in the end and it looked better without.
Good Luck and happy driving! How easy is it to fit a rear car spoiler to a 3 series 316 or 318 BMW ?Nice car: Don't 'chav' it up with pointless stick on bitsHow easy is it to fit a rear car spoiler to a 3 series 316 or 318 BMW ?I mildly disagree with the previous poster.... My 1986 BMW 325es had a "lip" Spolier and it really accented the look of the car. I also like low, small spoliers... they DO NOT do anything aerodynamically (they have to be at the top of the car not on the trunk OR over the side OR Way up in the air,) but it looks cool.
It is a standard attachment, but PLEASE, for the sake of the engineers that made your fine vehicle, dont mess it up with an over the top spolier! How easy is it to fit a rear car spoiler to a 3 series 316 or 318 BMW ?
There are simple "stick on" lip spoilers that either attaches with strong double sided tape or silicone adhesive.
Then there're bigger heavier ones which require drilling.
You'll need a garage/paint shop no matter what to have the spoiler spray painted to match your car anyway, so installation isn't really a big deal for them.
