How do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?

jump start see if battery takes a charge while running if not might be that you have alternator problemHow do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?jump start. Let the vehicle you use to jump start your car run for a while with the batteries connected by the jumper cables. This will put some charge back into your battery so your car will start. Then , once your car starts, drive it for at least an hour to allow the alternator to charge the battery back up.How do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?
Jumper cables. You can get them at any auto parts store or even a large department store with an automotive section.

Either that or buy a battery charger and recharge the battery. Once the car starts with a jump, go ahead and pull the leads off. If the car dies, then you have an alternator problem, if the car continues to run, then you may have either a bad battery or a drain on the electrical system.

Finally, if your car has a manual transmission, and you can push it, put the transmission in second gear and pop the clutch once you have some speed built up.

good luck. How do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?get some jumper cables and another car and hoo + to + and - to - start car!How do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?
1) put the BMW in 1st, key in the ignition, switched to "on". make sure theres room up ahead

2) push BMW with second car

3) when BMW starts and takes off on its own, shut off 2nd car, leap out and save BMW before it crashes into something.

I actually did this once, worked like a charm. How do you start a 1991 bmw 850i with a dead battery without replacing it?well if its a manual i would just roll down a hill (with battery still connected) clutch in and slam into 1st or 2nd gear and engine will turn over and should get started. but then again wheels might lock up
