Can I repair a broken window actuator on my 2001 BMW 330i myself?

It appears that BMW has a regular problem with electric windows and the parts inside the doors that run them. Consumer Reports has more or else stated so. I have taken two broken window mechanisms to the mechanic. I am now on my third, and am sick of it. Can I repair the broken stuff inside the front passenger door so my window rolls up and down properly, or does a mechanic have to do it? Thanks!!Can I repair a broken window actuator on my 2001 BMW 330i myself?you can but if i were you i ll go to a BMW directCan I repair a broken window actuator on my 2001 BMW 330i myself?Technically, you can replace the defective parts. It is not rocket science. But you can not in any way "repair" the defective parts. They were made that way so that the car manufacturer, parts suppliers and

repair shops make money on a regular basis.
